Luis Zapata – CEO, M.A.
Luis was born in Lima, Peru. He earned his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. Having worked in the music industry since 1994, Luis spent time at record labels – ranging from blues to metal – working with seminal artists, from Grey Ghost to Metallica. He introduced Rock en Español to Central Texas, creating the Latino Rock Alliance. His deep roots extend into all parts of the music and event production industry. Currently his interest focuses on integrating all aspects of modern technology into each event with a passion for realizing his goals of creating a more sustainable world through SEM’s green productions. Michael Hernandez – VP Marketing & Sponsorships
With over a decade of experience in sales, marketing and brand identity, Michael has shaped a vibrant resume within the entertainment industry under the likes of Spanish Broadcasting Systems, SI TV and AEG Worldwide (Anschutz Entertainment Group). In 2008 Michael decided to advance his passion for branding by focusing on the burgeoning green renewable energy sector. He brings his expertise and ecological interests to SEM as VP of Marketing & Sponsorships . Jenna Wedgewood — Booking Agent / Event Management / Promotion
Jenna Wedgewood started out as a Texas based photographer, capturing live music for over ten years. She has had the pleasure of working with a variety of clients that include: Spin, Now Toronto, Austin Monthly and Gibson, as their field photographer for Austin City Limits. In late 2008, Jenna launched whitesiren presents, a booking, events, and promotion company with a strong focus on new artists in central Texas. She works with countless musicians, venues, and other promoters in the Austin, Texas area. Mike Laymon -Food and Beverage Director
Mike brings over 20 years experience in special event food and beverage service, and really understands the needs of both event vendors and patrons. As a food vendor or manager, Mike has been a involved with hundreds of events including the Old Pecan Street Festival, SXSW, Texas Wildlife Expo, ROT Rally, ACL Festival, Austin Reggae Festival, The Austin Fine Arts Festival and many more. Mike is a native Austinite, UT Graduate and a “foodie” who’s always cooking great food for his family and friends.
